A thread rolling machine forms external threads on metal blanks using hardened dies under high hydraulic pressure. Unlike cutting, rolling displaces material — producing stronger, smoother threads with higher fatigue resistance. Two Roll machines use cylindrical dies and are ideal for M3–M45 threads (bolts, studs, automotive fasteners). Three Roll machines use a planetary die arrangement for large-diameter M10–M75 threads — preferred for construction anchors and heavy-duty studs. Flat Die machines have two reciprocating flat dies and offer the highest production speed (150–320 pcs/min) for small M2–M8 fasteners like machine screws.

Our machines process mild steel (MS), stainless steel (SS 304/316), alloy steel, TMT bars, aluminium and brass. For special materials such as titanium or pre-hardened steel, contact us for a custom assessment. The material hardness should generally not exceed HRC 40 for standard cold rolling.
